As a Croydon based business, who is in the same building as Sarah, I agree with a lot of what she talks about in this article. The article is also a great example of how attitudes need to change as things change over time.
I've not lived in Croydon for quite as long as Sarah (2003 and never been to the Blue Orchid). We moved here for the transport links.
Croydon had its reputation and probably deserved it, but things have changed. The town has been cleaned up (mostly) there are great plans for the coming years.
The tech and innovation that is now taking place has brought money, people and interest to the town in ways that haven't happened before.
It's time to take a fresh look at Croydon and see whether it still deserves its reputation.
